Cobourg Rotary’s float this year was entitled “The Magic of Rotary" which is this year’s theme for Rotary International. The “magic” is created with every project completed and every dollar that is donated.
The four colours you see repeated throughout the float - blue, aqua, orange and yellow - make up the logo of the 4 shooting stars that you can see on the side banners.
On seven of the large gifts there are tags each highlighting one of seven areas of focus for Rotary, including POLIO, PEACE, COMMUNITY, ENVIRONMENT, EDUCATION, WATER and HEALTH. These 7 areas reflect critical humanitarian issues and needs that Rotarians are addressing worldwide.
