Get ready for RIBFEST! August 18th to 20th 2023.
Held at Victoria Park, Cobourg, the 15th annual Northumberland Ribfest & Music Festival will be a blast! Each year, the number of visitors gets bigger, the food gets better and the Rotary Club of Cobourg is able to do more in the community and abroad because of your support.
This event is a fundraiser to help the Rotary Club of Cobourg support worthy causes at home and abroad.
A few of the contributions we have made in the past include:
• $800,000 commitment to the Northumberland Hills Hospital • $300,000 commitment to the Cobourg Community Centre • Ongoing development of Cobourg Heritage Harbour • Literacy projects at home and abroad • Clean water projects • Polio eradication
Our August Ribfest weekend is one of three major fundraising activities the Club undertakes.
Every Canada Day Weekend we host our Rotary Arts & Crafts Festival as part of the Cobourg Waterfront Festival.

What’s a Ribfest without a bit of friendly rivalry?
The Rotary Club of Cobourg will be welcoming some of North America’s best ribbers to town for the 2023 Northumberland Ribfest.
Here are some of the participants in our last Ribfest event. Watch for confirmation of this year’s ribbers!
First on our list is the legendary Billy Bones BBQ. Billy Bones also offers a great variety of barbeque sauces, rubs and hot sauce.
The Silver Bullet team is from Guelph, Ontario and participates in over 20 shows a year. They have been making delicious BBQ ribs, chicken, and pulled-pork for over 10 years.
Uncle Sam’s BBQ from Albuquerque, New Mexicois back with us for another year! In 2008 the media chose Uncle Sam as Best Sauce and Best Ribs.
Bibbs Texas Ribs has won more than 40 major Ribfest awards… and they’re from Toronto!
